Private Reservations
The RWB Community Center, home of Hanover Parks & Recreation, has spaces available for use and rental by the general public, businesses, for-profit and non-profit groups, and instructors. We also have a wide variety of meeting and conference equipment available for renters to use.
Please note; all reservations must be requested & approved at least ten (10) business days before the event takes place.
Advanced reservations can be made no more than 180 days prior to the event date.

Tenney Park
This park has indoor seasonal bathrooms, a large playground, picnic pavilion with 4 picnic tables, athletic field, and a 60' baseball diamond.
Picnic Pavilion
The pavilion at Tenney Park, with its four picnic tables (not pictured), is an ideal location for children's birthday parties, family reunions, and company luncheons or BBQ's. Any rental requests for large events of more than 50 people, use of an amplified sound system or tent require an approved Outdoor Activities Permit from the Town of Hanover before HPR can approve your facility request. We are happy to discuss your request beforehand to determine if the type of event and date(s) work within our parameters
Sachem Fields
Our athletic fields are available for limited rentals during the Spring/Fall Youth Sports Seasons with increased availability in the Summer
Fields are unplayable if the following conditions exist upon entering the area or during the course of games
1. The field has not yet been open or has been closed for the season.
i. Fields typically open for the season the week of April Vacation.
ii. Fields typically close for the season at the conclusion of the fall HPR fall sports season.
2. Ponding of water on the surface of the field. Water sponging up around one’s feet when walking on the field.
3. Unsafe weather conditions such as lightning, thunderstorms, high winds.
Factors to consider:
1. Safety of participants and spectators
2. Possibility of liability through accident or injury
3. Expense of field repair and maintenance and possibility of field becoming unusable and taken out of play
If a group ignores “UNPLAYABLE” condition:
1. You will be responsible for compensating the Town of Hanover for field repairs due to damage from negligence or abuse.
2. You could be banned from future use of any athletic facility
3. You could be held liable and responsible for accidents or injuries incurred
Kendal Park
Kendal Park is a waterfront green space along the Connecticut River off of Route 10. There is no vehicle access for the general public to the waterfront area but it is accessible via a short walk from the parking area. This park is a public space that may be available on a limited basis for public rentals. Even if a rental is made the general public may be in and about the park for the use of the docks and rowing.
Any rental requests for large events of more than 25 people, use of an amplified sound system, or tent, require an approved Outdoor Activities Permit from the Town of Hanover before HPR can approve your facility request. We are happy to discuss your request beforehand to determine if the type of event and date(s) work within our parameters.
What is the process to hang banners on the Main Street light poles?
Permission to hang banners on the light poles located on South Main Street requires the approval of the Selectboard. Please complete the Light Pole Banner Request Form (reference light pole banner map) at least fifteen (15) days prior to your request for banners to be hung. The banner request approval process can take 2-3 weeks for completion.
Light Pole Banner Specifications
1. No Commercial Advertisement of Any Kind on Banners. This includes sponsors logos.
2. Banner size is 24” wide x 47” long.
3. Banners must have pockets to slide onto 1” rods at top and bottom.
How to Request Approval
1. Visit our website and create an account for your organization.
2. Complete the Light Pole Banner Request Form.
3. Include a copy or drawing of banner.
4. Completed forms and supplemental materials can be emailed to hprreservations@hanovernh.org, dropped off at the RWB Community Center, or mailed to 48 Lebanon Street Hanover, NH 03755
Once Approval Has Been Issued
1. HPR Staff will create a reservation for your banner request using the account you created in our reservation system.
2. An email with an invoice will be sent to the email on record for your organization account.
a. Light pole banners are installed by the Parks & Recreation Department at a cost of $30.00 per banner.
3. Invoice must be paid prior to the date your banners go up. If payment is not made banners will not be hung as requested.
4. Banners will need to be delivered to the Parks & Recreation Department at the RWB Community Center, 48 Lebanon Street at least three days, but not more than one week, prior to the ‘hang’ date.
5. There may be times when the use of the poles needs to be shared with another organization, in which case, the Town would make the final decision on banner locations.
a. If not all the banners can be hung a refund for the difference will be issued in accordance with our refund policy.
7. Banners need to be picked up within three days after being taken down (unless other arrangements are made through the Parks & Recreation Department) or banner will be disposed of by HPR after 5 days.
8. The Town of Hanover is not responsible for lost or damaged banners, any lost or damaged attachments, or for banners disposed of if not picked up within the required timeframe.
