Youth Athletics
Hanover Parks & Recreation is proud to offer many Youth Athletics Programs to our community. We have several options for children from pre-school through 6th Grade. For each sport we offer programs during the season they are traditionally played.
The goal of our team sports programs is to provide a safe, fun experience that can instill a lifelong passion for sports. The outcome on the scoreboard is not our primary objective. HPR offers these programs in the hopes that your child will have fun, make new friends, and get healthy exercise. Most of all, we want our young athletes to have the experience of learning about teamwork, good sportsmanship, self-discipline, and the joy that comes from hard work and cooperation with others.
Please let us know if you're interested in coaching.
Without community volunteer coaches our programs could not run.
A few notes about our Youth Athletics
- In fairness to all players on each team we do ask that when signing your child up for a team sport that you and your child make the commitment that our program will take priority over other activities.
- It is essential that families register athletes prior to the set deadlines.
- HPR determines the number of teams, coaches, equipment, and schedules with pre-registration numbers
- Late registrations are accepted on a space-available basis and are accessed with a $26 Late fee. Teams may fill up early and there is no guarantee that Late Registration will be available.
- Late registrations are not allowed after the first game.
- The policy of HPR is that players are divided into teams so that all teams are equally matched in skill level.
