Leased & Permit Parking

All permits must be obtained in person at the Town Hall. You can pre-fill and print the forms to bring with you; this will help speed the process. Please contact the Parking Divsion to check the availability of permits.

Business District Employee Parking - All-Day

Thompson Arena: Permit parking (Monday through Friday) for central business district employees. You must apply for a permit to place in your car from the Parking Division office in Town Hall. Thompson Arena is off of South Park Street between the Hanover Coop and Leverone Field House. Once you park your car you can walk to Main Street, which takes 12 minutes or you can ride the free Advance Transit Dartmouth/Downtown shuttle bus. The bus runs between 7 am and 7 pm (Monday through Friday). You can then take the bus back to Thompson at the end of the day. This permit also allows you to park in the parking garage at a discounted rate of $8/day.

Apply for Paid Permit Parking

The Hanover Parking Garage at 7 Lebanon Street has long-term lease permits available with 24/7 pass card access for $150 monthly. These spaces are located in covered sections of the parking garage at 7 Lebanon Street and require a six-month minimum lease contract. As of January 2024, there is a waiting list for these parking permits. Please contact the Parking Office for an estimate of the current wait time.

There are also surface area permit spaces in the Central Business District priced at $115 monthly and some on Lower Lebanon Street and Hovey Lane priced at $55 monthly. Permits must be obtained in person at the Town Hall.

Pay An Existing Parking Lease

Please access the parking portal at parking.hanovernh.org. You will need to enter the Account Number and Last Name / Business Name as it appears on the invoice in order to search and pay. Please contact the parking office if you have questions.
