Zumba:
Keep your mind sharp as you learn new dance moves from 26 different rhythms including Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Calypso, Quebradita and more. Classes are led taking advantage of non-verbal cueing allowing them to flow well and are easy to follow. Workouts are quickly adapted to any fitness level and you go at your own pace. You will have toned from head to toe all while getting an amazing cardio workout!

Zumba Toning:
Zumba Toning combines body sculpting exercises with cardio dance to burn calories and strength train with the well-known Zumba party atmosphere.  Students learn how to use lightweight toning sticks to enhance rhythm and tone all their target zones, including arms, abs, and thighs.

CostAll Zumba programs have a $10 drop-in fee per class.  
Zumba passes can be purchased at a per class discount: 10 Pass $80; 20 Pass $150; 30 Pass $210

Mat Pilates:
Mat Pilates is a form of exercise that will take traditional Pilates movements to the floor in this mat class. This Pilates class will focus on core strength, balance, flexibility, and body awareness. Dianne will lead you through a series of exercises, helping you to build longer, leaner muscles, improve posture, and better balance all the while having fun doing it. Dianne Estes is a professional fitness instructor with decades of experience teaching many different formats and populations. She is excited to bring her knowledge and experience to Hanover Parks and Recreation.

Cost: $12 per drop in session or $40 for the 4 week series.

Senior Strength:
Resistance bands and small hand weights are tools to make friends with as we age, and this class will make you comfortable with both.  We will challenge our upper and lower body as well as core muscles with our own body weight, a chair, and the tools we mentioned above. Equipment supplied by the rec center or bring your own.  Please bring a mat if you have one.

NEW Gentle Senior Stretch & Strength:
This less intense version of our Senior Strength and Stretch class will include chair yoga, gentle strength training, and balance exercise all done seated or standing, no getting on the floor. This class is ideal for seniors with severe arthritis or other chronic medical issues that limit movement. Increased strength, balance, flexibility and coordination are expected benefits. All equipment provided.

Better Bones and Balance:

Muscle loss (sarcopenia) and bone loss (osteopenia) are inevitable conditions as we age. Are you doing the right things to slow the process? Join, Building Better Bones and Balance, for strength training, balance training, and cardio-dance. Your instructor, Jackie Schanlaber is a Functional Aging Specialist. Bring your sneakers and comfortable clothes.
