Planning, Zoning & Codes

The Planning, Zoning, and Codes Department is responsible for planning the Town's future in such areas as land use, economic development, transportation, natural resource protection, and maintenance and enhancement of Hanover's special character and quality of life. It is also responsible for zoning administration and enforcement, conservation administration, affordable housing, and inspections and code enforcement.

This department has six functional areas:

• Rental Housing
• Zoning Board of Adjustment

The records of all related boards and commissions and of all building inspections are kept in the department's office.
