The Town Clerk's office is open to the general public Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. We ask to complete Marriage Licenses and Motor Vehicle Registrations prior to 4:00 pm. 

The office will be closed on Thursday, December 25th & Friday, December 26th, for Christmas, as well as New Year’s Day, January 1st. 


INCREASE IN STATE MOTOR VEHICLE FEES

 

Effective January 1, 2026, residents renewing, transferring, or obtaining motor vehicle registrations on a new vehicle, trailer, or motorcycle will notice an increase in the State portion of their transaction(s). These changes are pursuant to 2025 House Bill 2 (HB2).

 

Local municipal fees will not be increasing, so only the state portion of your total registration cost will be affected.

The Town Clerk's office accepts cash or check with no additional fee. Credit or Debit payments are also accepted with a 2.99% or $2.50 minimum convenience fee.
