The mission of the Hanover Welfare Program is to assist people who are experiencing economic hardship in our community and are unable to sustain their basic needs of shelter, utilities, food, transportation, and/or emergency medical expenses. Applying Hanover taxpayer dollars, we provide welfare assistance, advocacy, and resource referrals in a confidential manner. By partnering with other local, state, and federal agencies, our goal is to work with eligible applicants toward a plan for financial self-sufficiency and sustainability.
