Time: 11:30 am to 2:30 pm

Recycling markets have always had seasonal fluctuations. Holidays like Christmas and the Chinese New Year have also impacted recycling commodity pricing. In 2008, the Olympics held in China impacted pricing considerably. We live in a world with a global economy. Recycling commodities are not immune to political pressures, changes in investments, and the value of the dollar, etc.
China purchases approximately 30% of the world's recyclables. They are a major player in the market. Recently, China has changed how it will be participating in the global recycling market through an effort called National Sword. On December 7, 2017 a discussion about this topic is scheduled from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Hypertherm facility, 71 Heater Rd., Lebanon, NH. View a map.
Come hear how recycling industry leaders envision China's changes will impact local recycling efforts. Bring your questions and comments.
This session will be free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided
