We are pleased to announce that Doris Yates, RN has started work as Hanover’s first Community Nurse! Doris brings a wealth of nursing experience to her new role and is looking forward to working with community members, health care providers, first responders, local non-profit organizations, and others to help address the health care needs of seniors and other Hanover residents.
Community Nurse (CN) services include:
- health care coordination, referrals, and case management
- patient advocacy
- health and wellness education and counseling
- discharge planning
- facilitating discussions between patients and family members
Doris will be working on a part-time basis, (15 hours per week). For initial consultations and referrals, she can be reached via her Town e-mail address, or by cell phone at 603-727-2832.

Important: Please note that CN services do not include direct patient care and treatment. This position does not substitute for individual medical care or “hands on” nursing care. For example, CNs do not diagnose or treat illnesses, change dressings, administer IV’s, supervise prescription medication use, or handle emergency medical calls.
