Annual Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration

The summer welcomes the Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration!  This patriotic event features a hometown parade which steps off at Hanover High School and finishes on the Dartmouth Green.  The parade is followed by live entertainment, games for the kids, touch-a-truck activities, food, pony rides, and an apple pie eating contest.  This celebration always takes place on the 4th of July and draws 500 to 800 people to downtown Hanover.

ATTENTION:

Due to forecasted thunderstorms and concerns for safety, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our traditional 4th of July Celebration for 2023.

While we are disappointed to cancel this event, please join us on the Dartmouth Green July 5th at 5pm for a smaller celebration, including live music on the White River Toyota stage, delicious food from the Rotary Club, and lots of fun!

Making this decision now still allows us to offer a community event as opposed to canceling everything outright the day of if the forecasted thunderstorms happen.
